DAVID KUPFER’s first act of patriotism as a child was creating ceramic artwork adorned with peace symbols and antiwar slogans. Ten years later he was arrested while nonviolently advocating for nuclear disarmament. He divides his time between northern California and a small organic farm in Snohomish, Washington.
