DAVID JAY BROWN is the author of the science-fiction novel Brainchild (New Falcon) and coauthor, with Rebecca McClen Novick, of Mavericks of the Mind and Voices from the Edge (both Crossing Press). He lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California and is currently researching, with Rupert Sheldrake, the unexplained abilities of animals.

REBECCA MCCLEN NOVICK is a writer and poet. Born in England, she now lives in the foothills of California's Santa Monica Mountains with her husband and other animals.
