Doug Crandell lives in Douglasville, Georgia, where he makes chocolate-chip cookies at midnight and eats the leftover dough while they bake. His most recent novel is They’re Calling You Home.

Anne Frank was a German-born Jewish girl whose family fled to Amsterdam after the Nazi Party gained power. After hiding from the German occupying forces for two years, the family was captured, and Anne died in a concentration camp in 1945. The diary she kept while in hiding was published by her father, the only surviving family member, in 1947.

Kristopher Jansma is the author of the novels Why We Came to the City and The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards. He writes Electric Literature’s “Unfinished Business” column, about the incomplete works of great authors, and teaches English and creative writing at the State University of New York at New Paltz. In his free time he wrangles his two children and the family’s sourdough starter at his home in Millwood, New York.

Jim Moore is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently Underground: New and Selected Poems. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Spoleto, Italy, and is getting used to being the oldest person in the room.

Cary Tennis once stole his dad’s copy of The Collected Poems of Robinson Jeffers. A few years ago he sold everything else he had stolen and moved to a small town in Tuscany, where he is pretending to write a book about the town’s inhabitants while his wife teaches English to children.

Corvin Thomas lives in Kansas City, Missouri. He is writing a book about his father, God’s sovereignty, free will, and eating microwave sausage biscuits in a hospice bed.

Guillermo Arias is a photojournalist based in Tijuana, Mexico, whose work has appeared in Politico and The New York Times. What he’s most proud of is his twenty-two-year marriage.
