The Pushcart Prize is awarded annually to the “best of the small presses.” For 2021 Kristopher Jansma won the Pushcart for his story “The Samples” [June 2019].

Mark Gozonsky’s essay “Gritty All Day Long” [November 2019] was selected for the 2020 Best American Sports Writing anthology.

Essays and short stories in The Sun by Poe Ballantine, Doug Crandell, Charlie Geer, Becky Mandelbaum, Jane Ratcliffe, and Katherine Seligman were listed as distinguished in the 2020 Best American Essays and Best American Short Stories anthologies.
