Sparrow lives in New York City. He does a lot of his writing on the subway, though “if you write on the subway, people think you’re crazy — especially if you look like me. There’s a type of Bag Person who writes an endless list of numbers, or a diary, on long rolls of paper, in very tiny print. I am mistaken for this person.”
