Dreams, how you come
to us galloping
through the night trailing
furious light, tearing
the dark into shreds
that become roads leading
everywhere, bearing
on your backs omens from
past and future along
those roads into
the interminable present where
all roads meet and drop
out in every direction
with open hands
whose palms cradle our vast
and fathomless inner
space equal to outer
space, its
perfect mate. Dreams,
how you pour occult oceans
over all fervent
burning minds while rising
tides push out against
all false boundaries; those
boundaries loosen
and drift away, dissolving
in the perfect distance.
So we live dreaming
the many colors of suffering and
love, and that something
we call the world or
the cosmos
                             possesses
irrefutable reality.
