Karen Blomain lives in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She’s the author of Black Diamond, a book of poems, and The Slap, a collection of narratives based on the secrets and stories of abused women.

Dana Branscum lives in the Jesse Helms state, where she’s writing a morally questionable first novel. She dreams of full funding, secret benefactors, and miscellaneous donations.

Travis Charbenau lives in Richmond, Virginia. His work has appeared in World Monitor, the Atlanta Constitution, In These Times, and Utne Reader.

Ram Dass is the author of ten books, including Be Here Now, How Can I Help? and, with Mirabai Bush, Compassion in Action.

Owen E. Dell is a landscape architect and environmental activist who lives in Santa Barbara, California.

Linda Foust practiced law for nine years before turning to writing full time. She lives in Oakland, California.

Frances Stokes Hoekstra lives in Malvern, Pennsylvania and teaches creative writing at Haverford College. She recently received a grant from the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts.

Patrick Nelson lives in Corvallis, Oregon with his wife — a professional oboist and bassoonist — and their two children. He writes essays and short stories, and designs and rides recumbent bicycles.

Edwin Romond is the author of Home Fire (Belle Meade Press). He lives in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania.

David Romtvedt, with his daughter, painted the ocean on the side of their house in Buffalo, Wyoming. His most recent book is Crossing Wyoming, a collection of fiction from White Pine Press.
