Bradford Stark, a city planner by trade, is the author of two books of poems, including The Burden of Time (Bellevue Press, 1976). The poems in this issue are from an unpublished book, An Advertisement for the Next Season. He lives in Hillsborough, N.C. and was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship in 1978.

W.D. Timmerman is a gardener at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. He’s published poems in the Firelands Art Review, Cambric Poetry Press I, and Lake Superior Review.
