Ron Jones lives in San Francisco, California, where he teaches at the San Francisco Recreation Center for the Handicapped, and writes. His latest book, Shared Victory, A Collection of Unusual World Records ($4.50 from Ron Jones, 1201 Stanyan St., San Francisco, Ca. 94117) records “gallant imagination and cooperative effort” among his students in such activities as “tallest inner tube sandwich,” “most catchers of a tennis ball with a fishnet,” “longest human conveyor belt,” and so on. It’s a delight.

Carl Evans lives in Leasburg, N.C., where he has his studio. He was an art therapist at the Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center in Butner for the past five years. He quit in June to paint full-time. Some of his work is on display at the Somerhill Gallery in Durham.
