Katha Pollitt earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard and received a master’s in fine arts from Columbia University. She is the author of two collections of poems and five nonfiction books on feminism and politics. Her latest book is Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights. Pollitt is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker, The New York Times, The New Republic, and other publications. She has taught poetry at Princeton and women’s studies at the New School University, and she’s lectured at many more schools, including Harvard, Yale, and Cornell. —From December 2015
