This Month’s A Thousand Words
To celebrate The Sun’s fiftieth year, we’re reprinting images from our archive.
This image of Thomas Clark’s is an exceedingly quirky moment — someone putting on elaborate stage makeup in a gritty subway stop — but it doesn’t feel staged or forced in any way. Instead it feels like a lucky moment Clark was pleased to capture, and we were fortunate to publish. We created the feature A Thousand Words to make room for more pictures exactly like this.
