The form is what speaks clearest to me. It always takes over from the idea. In a process that always seems miraculous, I find that the developing image shows me deeper and broader levels of the original thought. If there is no discovery in creating, then it is an empty process.

There is a border between intention (the conscious effect of each curve or bend) and the more powerful energy that is just beyond direct reach of consciousness. As I make use of forms that once appeared in an arbitrary way, intention expands, and the starting point is pushed back. As long as there is an open path across the border, both functions are able to grow and change, and I can enjoy the lineplay between the two.
