My twenty-year career as a professional cellist has enabled me to bring an insider’s understanding of music to the visual exploration of instruments. I have photographed their hidden interiors using specially modified medical endoscopes, building each image from hundreds, sometimes thousands, of frames to produce extraordinary depth and clarity. Through this meticulous process and the use of extreme wide angles, a striking optical illusion is created, transforming small, unseen spaces into vast architectural landscapes that reveal the history and craft behind these wonderful instruments.
